Contributions to our general fund remain the most effective way to support the work of MCFCF.  General funds are used to meet an assortment expenses including food, education, medical and outreach efforts. Just as your family runs into unexpected expenses, with 2,000 children under care, having funds in the general fund allows us to immediately allocate to areas of urgent needs.  To make an online donation, click the CanadaHelps link above.  To send a cheque, please mail it to the MCFCF address below.

KatherineJohnes.jpgChild Sponsorship

We are excited to now offer a full Child Sponsorship program.  Journey along with an individual child at MCF as they grow, learn and mature along with their 2,000 brothers and sisters.  This is a powerful way to invest in the life of a child and to see how your generosity is making a difference.  For more information about this program, please visit our Child Sponsorship page.

IMG_1061.JPGTour for Life

Long time MCF friend Arvid Loewen, just finished biking 8,000 km to raise funds for food relief at MCF.  This ultra marathon cylclist endured extreme weather and physical challenges throughout his 23 day trek, but his determination and resilience was used to shine a light on the plight of street children who fight each day for survival.

As Lance Armstrong and the elite racers of the world competed for the glory of the  yellow jersey in the Tour de France, Arvid attempted to cycle 457 kilometers a day for 23 consecutive days.

$100 is the annual MCF cost per child to purchase the food requirements MCF cannot grow themselves.  With over 2,000 children under MCF's care - Arvid's goal was to raise $200,000.  The Tour for Life has currently raised $155,000, but it's not over yet.  You can still support this cause by clicking here.  For day-by-day coverage of the Tour for Life, visit the SpokeImpact blog, or http://www.spokeimpact.com/ for more information.
